Our Bishop, Leroy Davis, admires and adheres to the teachings of renowned Pastor Kenneth E. Hagin. His story and church
ministries are an inspiration to us as we reach others here at Word Of Faith Christian Center Church!
Hagin was born in Texas in 1917. He was born with a heart deformity and a blood disease that was deemed incurable, and doctors did not expect him to live. When Hagin was 15 years old, he became bedridden, and during that time he experienced a dramatic conversion. It was in April of 1933 when Hagin reported experiencing dying three times in ten minutes- each time seeing the horrors of Hell before returning back to life. This experience completely changed his life as he put his faith in Jesus Christ, though he still remained paralyzed afterwards. That is until August 8, 1934, when Kenneth Hagin was miraculously healed of his bedridden paralysis by the power of God through a revelation of faith in God's Word.
Hagin went on to grow his ministry with multiple media outlets; including book and magazine publications, a television program, and a radio program, among much more. One of the scriptures that defined Hagin's ministry was found in Mark 11:23-24, which reads: "truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours".
Kenneth E. Hagin founded the Rhema Bible Training Center, now known as the Rhema Bible Training College, in 1974. The institution specializes in seven ministry concentrations, and has training centers in multiple countries across the globe! Over 80,000 graduates of the college now reside and minister in around 52 countries. Hagin passed away in September of 2003, leaving his son, Kenneth W. Hagin, to lead the ministry.
